What is hydrocolloid dressing?

Its surface is a layer of semi permeable polymer membrane structure. After contacting with the wound exudate, the dressing can absorb the exudate and form a gel to avoid adhesion between the dressing and the wound; At the same time, the semi permeable membrane structure on the surface can allow the exchange of oxygen and water vapor, but it also has the barrier property to external particulate foreign matters such as dust and bacteria.
